Local Insight.
Shared Ambition.
We believe technology can expand what people, organisations and communities are capable of.
Future Technology Lab creates opportunities to explore emerging technologies first-hand — to test, try, experiment and learn by doing.
01 / WHY
Technology should create capability.
New technology matters when it gives people greater confidence, organisations new possibilities and communities the capacity to adapt and grow.
02 / HOW
We learn by doing.
We create the conditions to explore technology in practice — bringing together tools, environments, knowledge and people. Sometimes that means a pilot, field testing, training, experimentation or a joint project.
Explore
Discover what a technology could make possible before deciding where it belongs.
Test
Trial ideas in real settings, gather evidence and learn what works.
Learn
Build confidence and competence through direct experience, not just explanation.
Connect
Bring people, organisations and international partners together around shared challenges and opportunities.
03 / OUR FOCUS
Research. Innovation. Technology.
UNMANNED SYSTEMS · DATA INTELLIGENCE · DIGITAL SKILLS · DUAL-USE · SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY · RESILIENT COMMUNITIES · PILOT PROJECTS
04 / OPEN TO COLLABORATION
Interested in exploring what technology could make possible? We are open to new ideas, dual-use pilots, European projects and partnerships. If you have something worth testing, developing or learning together, we would like to hear about it.
